About Us
Rural Development Foundation (RDF) is a nonprofit organization registered under the Societies Registration Act of XXI of 1860 in the year 1994. It is a philanthropic agency came in to existence realizing the poverty, sorrows and suffering of the common people in the year 1991 with the generous inspiration of a renowned Gandhian, Dr. Radhakrishna, the founder of Gandhi Peace Centre.
To promote gandhian movement, a group of rural youths in Odisha joined hands and formed RDF. Initially, Gandhi Peace Centre fosters this organization for more than a decade with the leadership of a young gandhian Harish Chandra Raj founder of RDF. Later, with the generous support of various concerns in the Government of India and non government donor agencies the organization serves the vulnerable sections of the society like; women, children, farmer, artisan , tribal and marginalized population.
